Nevada online poker continues to spiral down as figures released by state regulators show turnover for October has dwindled to $665,000. Ultimate Poker is closing its doors in November, which will leave a huge gap in the market, leaving the other operators to take their products to the people and hopefully capture a greater market share.
In February this year turnover was $824 000 with a high in June of just over $1 million largely due to the added interest shown with the World Series of Poker competition, but since then turnover has continued to decrease.
With California possibly the only other state to license online poker next year, predicted figures are going to have to be revamped to show the new trends. Optimists believed that online poker would reach $5.2 billion by 2020, but I think that’s a pipe dream.
